Argentina, state of South America, is located on the Atlantic coast in the southern part of the continent. The area of its landmass corresponds to the American continent and the province of Tierra del Fuego. Antarctica and the Southern Atlantic islands occupy 3,761,274 km2. The following islands are comprised within this area: The Falklands, Orkneys, South Sandwich, Shetlands, Georgias and other small islands. They are dispersed over an area of approximately 4,500 km (2.8 miles) along the Atlantic coast. Argentina is a federal state divided into 23 provinces, in addition to the district of the federal capital. The capital of the country is Buenos Aires.
GEOGRAPHY
The territory is composed of 4 large regions: to the west the Andes, which has the highest peak in America, The Aconcagua (6,959 m.a.s.l), flanked in the northern sector by other mountain ranges (the Andean foothills); two extensive plateaus, to the north west (la Puna) and to the south of the country (Southern Patagonia); finally, The Cuzco Plains, Mesopotamian and Pampa that represent more than half of the territory and the prevailing sector from an economic and demographic point of view.

CLIMATE
Argentina tourism is over a great expanse of Argentina’s territory offering many varieties of climates and landscapes: The North of the country is characterized by very warm and humid summers, and mild and dry winters. The official language is Spanish.
95% of Argentinians are descendants principally of Italians and Spanish. Mixed-race cultures represent just 4.5% and the indigenous population, the remaining 0.5%. The largest concentrations of inhabitants reside in the federal Capital.
CUISINE: Thanks to the cultural diversity that exists in Buenos Aires, the variety of gastronomy is enormous. As a result you can find Italian, Spanish, French, Arabic and Jewish influences. Buenos Aires cuisine is renowned for the quality of pizzas and home-made style ice-creams. The “dulce de leche” (traditional caramel), the croissants, el mate (traditional tea) and the “barbecue” are all around the country. Argentina is a country where the people eat very well and for an Argentinian, eating is an important part of daily life. How to arrive?
The Airlines that arrive in Argentina enter via the Ministro Pistarini International Airport, 35kms from the center of the city of Buenos Aires, the Federal Capital. These Airlines are: Aerolíneas Argentinas, Air Canada , Aero-Mexico, American Airlines, Avianca, British Airways, Continental Airlines, Copa, Delta, Gol, Iberia, LAN, Lufthansa, Malaysia Airlines, Mexicana, Pluna, Quantas, South African Airways, Swiss, Taca, TAM, United and Varig.

Buenos Aires: In the city of Buenos Aires there are two airports; The Ministro Pistarini International Airport, known as Ezeiza and Jorge Newbery, known as the Aeroparque. The International Airport of Ezeiza is the most frequented in terms of international flights. It is located 35 Kms (21 miles) to the southeast of the city of Buenos Aires (EZE).
The airport Jorge Newbery, commonly called the Aeroparque, is the most important in terms of coastal shipping in Argentina and is situated in the city of Buenos Aires. For flights to Estancia Los Álamos, you must use this airport.
Córdoba: The Córdoba International Airport, Ingeniero Ambrosio Travella is 9 Kms (6 miles) from the city center. Known more commonly as “Pajas Blancas”, it is one of the most important airports in Argentina and services a large part of the center of the country. There are also flights to neighboring countries. Salta: The Salta Airport, Martín Miguel de Güemes, services all regions in the Salta Province and towns of neighboring Provinces. Puerto Iguazú: The Puerto Iguazú International Airport, Cataratas Del Iguazú, is located 25 kms (17 miles) from the city center of Puerto Iguazú. WHAT TO TAKE?
If you travel to Argentina and are taking some type of medication, it is recommended to bring it from your country. It is also recommended to organize medical insurance before travelling.
A current passport or identification card is necessary for neighboring countries. There is no requirement for a certificate of vaccination to enter the country.
The type of clothing recommended depends on the time of the year that you go and where you are going.

All require passports valid for six months, except for the natives of Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Paraguay and Uruguay who only use an identity card.
All persons require visas to visit Argentina except:
Citizens of EU and USA for stays under 90 days.
Citizens of Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Paraguay, Uruguay, Colombia, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Peru and Venezuela for stays of up to 90 days.
Transit passengers continuing their journey by a period of 6 hours without leaving the airport.
Requirements to obtain Tourism Visa for the countries that need them are:
